NOTES
This is the second BETA run of this class. This means that in
addition to this class being free, I will be asking folks to provide
feedback on what can be done to improve this workshop. This class will
remain free at Fresh Workshops.
PREREQUISITES
- Desktop or Laptop on a high speed connection
- Windows XP or Vista
- Ability to call a long distance number (you can use Skype's monthly $3 plan for this)
This class is for people who plan to install their own version of Joomla. We will be installing a webserver locally on your computer, talking about best practices and working in phpMyAdmin, MySQL. Cpanel is a popular control panel for website hosting accounts. It will be discussed but not used so don't worry if you don't have a domain or hosting space. This workshop is to learn the basics of installing Joomla.
If you don't need to know how to install Joomla, don't sign up.
